Description
Inspired by the original 1996 release, the Air Jordan 12 Retro “Red Taxi” adds a touch of color to a tumbled white leather upper. The ruby-colored flair doesn’t detract too much from the heritage style, but does breath new life into the iconic pair. These shoes have stitched lines on the side panels and a lizard-textured black mudguard on the outside of the foot. They ride on a lightweight Phylon midsole with full-length Zoom Air cushioning for a soft feel and a carbon fiber spring plate to promote stability. According to the available mock-ups, the pair bears a very close resemblance to its predecessor, boasting everything from the white quilted upper to the blacked-out mudguard and midsole. The main differences lies in the hardware, which swaps out the original bits of gold for red. Metallic Gold eyelets are replaced with Silver, and Gym Red highlights “Jumpman” overlays and branding on tongues and back heel tabs. Completing the design is a solid Black rubber sole. This pristine canvas contrasts expertly with black accents on the textured mudguards, lining, and heels, enhancing the shoe’s dynamic profile.
