The Air Jordan 9 “Powder Blue” originally released in 1994 and was last seen in 2010. In 2024, Jordan Brand is bringing back popular colorways that pay homage to Michael Jordan’s college alma mater, the University of North Carolina (UNC), to commemorate its 30th anniversary. Dressed in a Summit White, Black, and Dark Powder Blue color scheme. The Air Jordan 9 is set to return in true OG form. It features a White leather upper with Jumpman on the tongue, eyelets, lining, midsole and heel pull tab. The shoe is highlighted by contrasting hits of Powder Blue on the midsole, tongue, branding, and heel. A sturdy white rubber sole completes the design. Unlike the 2010 model, the 2024 model will not include #23 embroidered on the heel to match its OG 1994 version.
